Future Proof?

Spring 2023

I aimed to capture the essence of woodworking: the mastery of shaping and controlling raw timber into enduring structures. With that as the central idea, I used steel rods, similar to a truss rod in a guitar neck, to produce "wooden" legs resistant to warping. Taking inspiration from shaker furniture I blended future-proofing industrialization with timeless tradition in making the final form.
